Kids Breakfast Cereals & Oats found with high levels of pesticide
In case you missed the news, the Environmental Working Group (EWG) has completed a second series of tests on General Mills and Quaker Oats breakfast cereals and found potentially unsafe levels of glyphosate in many of them. The experts say that it is especially a concern for our children consuming these cereals as they are more sensitive to the carcinogenic chemicals. The Environmental Working Group (EWG) organization tests the amount of pesticide that remains in our produce every year and compiles a list of the top worst (called dirty dozen) and the least (clean 15) so we can make an informed decision when buying produce. It is best to buy any on the dirty 12 list as Organic to decrease your pesticide intake.
